The Flash Drive Project was prresented at ISEA Summer Conference by UniServ Director John Phillips. The project was co-sponsored by ISEA and NEA Member Benefits. This blog will allow participants to share how they used the flash drives to increase membership.

I like the flash drive. Our Unit is considering making them available to locals. It would be nice for each officer and building rep to have one. It is especially nice to have the ISEA name and logo on the drive.
I passed several of the items on the drive to building reps---comparison to PEI, advantages, etc.
I am able to keep all my OEA items on there--roster, master contract, a database of services offered by members, a copy of our ballot, duties of the president, etc.
I used it to help recruit a local leader today. Younger, very tech-savy teacher who will make a great leader in our local. Knew this person wouldn't want a stack of handouts to read. Added sample communication forms, contracts, school board information that could be helpful if he decides to take on this new role. It also provided a nice tool to open dialogue about the position and what it entails. Then we were able to start talking about his strengths and weaknesses as a leader and planning ahead about who/how to get assistance with the tougher parts of the role.
